Help your family know where to look.
Start with the location of important information. You do not need to finish every record at once.
Your first five records
- Accounts and policies: institution, account or policy reference, nominee, and where the original paperwork is kept.
- Loans and responsibilities: who to contact, payment dates and renewal instructions.
- Documents: where originals are stored and which copies will help someone begin a claim.
- People: who should know about each record and how to reach them.
- Personal messages: something you would like a particular person to receive.
Use a sample record to get familiar with the app before adding sensitive details. Keep passwords and recovery material secure; never send them to support.
What would a loved one receive?
The receiving preview lets you review the records and messages assigned to a selected person. Drafts are excluded from this view. Review assignments after edits or family changes. Opening the preview does not release access.
In the app, look for “What would they receive?” on Home or in Loved Ones. A person’s ability to claim also depends on the verification and access requirements shown in the app.
What happens if you miss a check-in?
A missed check-in starts reminders according to your settings. It is not by itself permission to open your vault. The handover process includes notification, submission and review of a death certificate, and identity verification before access is released.
Read the handover steps. Follow the app’s cancellation instructions; additional identity verification applies once loved ones have been notified.
Lost a device or planning to leave?
Keep the recovery information the app gives you in a secure place you can access without the lost device. Use the app’s recovery flow; support should never ask you to send your password or vault key.
Before closing your account, use the available export tools and check that you can open and safely store what you need. Read the retention and deletion policy and contact support for account-specific help.
When your family lives in another country
Record where Indian accounts and original documents are held, a local contact, and the institution’s official claim route. Review contact details and assignments together. Access to records helps a family find information; banks, insurers and applicable succession rules still determine their own claims process.
