Why Nivi Exists

Nivi is a secure digital vault and legacy planning app. We built it because people deserve a place to store their important information — assets, documents, and memories — where only they hold the key. Not the cloud provider. Not us. You.

What We Believe

Zero-knowledge encryption means we never see your data. It is encrypted on your device before it reaches our servers. We cannot decrypt it. Even if we wanted to, we could not access your vault. That is by design.

Legacy belongs to you. You decide who receives what, when, and how. Custodians confirm your status when the time comes — they cannot access your data. Beneficiaries are verified before access. No one gets in before it is appropriate.

How We're Different

  • Zero-knowledge by design — We architected Nivi so that user data is encrypted on the device before it reaches our servers. We cannot read it. This is not a feature we added — it is the foundation of our architecture.
  • Legacy planning built in — Nivi is not just encrypted storage. It includes beneficiary management, custodian networks, inactivity monitoring, and automated handover. No other vault app combines all of these.
  • No single point of failure — Your vault is protected by custodians you choose. Even if Nivi disappeared, the custodian system ensures your legacy can be recovered.
  • Free to start — Core features are free. Premium and Enterprise plans are available for users who need higher storage and item limits.

Our Technology

Nivi uses XChaCha20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption with Argon2id key derivation from your password. Secret sharing uses Shamir's Secret Sharing scheme. All transport is secured with TLS 1.3. The architecture is designed so that even a complete server breach would not expose any user data.
